OnePlus, after kickstarting 2023 with a flagship device, is all set to make an impact in the affordable smartphones section too. Recent rumors suggest that OnePlus Nord 3 is already being tested for the Indian market, and the device can make its way to the country by June 2023. A report by MySmartPrice suggested that the handset has been codenamed, Larry. Nonetheless, there is no specific detail available regarding the official launch date of the smartphone.

There is only a limited amount of information available on the internet regarding the specifications and features of the smartphone. Until now, we only know that the smartphone will ship with an FHD+ AMOLED display panel coupled with a 120Hz refresh rate. In addition, we can also get to see a triple rear camera system in the device, including a 50MP primary shooter.

It will operate on the Android 12 operating system and support 5G connectivity. However, considering that all other mid-rangers are offering the Android 13 operating system in their latest smartphones, OnePlus can also do the same. While the battery capacity of the smartphone is still under wraps, we can get to see 80W fast charging support which will fully fuel the device in less than an hour.

Could OnePlus Nord 3 do wonders for OnePlus?

Here comes the major question, will the OnePlus Nord 3 be able to make an impact in the mid-range smartphone segment? Well, the answer for the same is yes, only if the device delivers something which other alternatives miss out on. For example, if the device is launched at a price point near Rs 30,000, then to outclass others, it must include a powerful Snapdragon processor like the Snapdragon 888 processor or the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor. Apart from that, the alert slider’s absence or presence will also play a major role.
