It’s official. OnePlus 12 is arriving on December 4 in China as the tech juggernaut confirmed on its Weibo handle. OnePlus is celebrating its 10th anniversary and what better way to do it than to launch the almighty and the most powerful OnePlus phone to date – the OnePlus 12 powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.

OnePlus was founded on December 16, 2012, and the first-ever phone dubbed the OnePlus One arrived on April 23, 2014. The OnePlus 12 celebrates the 10th anniversary of the tech juggernaut that started launching affordable flagship killers and soon transformed itself into flagship phones with the best specs onboard. It showcased a poster with the dates 2013-2023 and the launch date for OnePlus 12 on December 4 at 7 pm local time.

OnePlus 12: What To Expect?

The OnePlus 12 is dropping by December 4th in China followed by its global launch a few weeks later for which, we don’t have dates as of now. Just like all its predecessors, OnePlus 12 will bring onboard the latest flagship i.e. Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC which has repeatedly outperformed its competitors scoring upwards of 2 million points on AnTuTu. For software, the Chinese variant runs on Android 14-powered ColorOS 14.

OnePlus 12 is expected to have a LYT-T808 primary camera with HyperTone camera optimizations. There’s a 48MP IMX581 ultrawide and a 64MP OmniVision OV64B periscope lens with 3x optical zoom capabilities to name a few. Also, OnePlus 12 cameras will be calibrated by Hasselblad. A 32MP selfie camera shines bright tucked in a tiny punch-hole cut-out.

Moving on, we have a 6.82” BOE X1 OLED panel bearing a resolution of 2K and a 120Hz refresh rate. We have up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage onboard as well. There’s a 5,400mAh battery supplied with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging tech to name a few.

OnePlus is expected to debut OnePlus Ace 3 in China alongside OnePlus 12. It will be powered by last year’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. Turns out it will be rebranded as OnePlus 12R a few weeks down the line when it arrives in India and global markets.
