Offline Exclusive Moto C Could Launch In India This Month At Rs. 6,499

Lenovo-owned Motorola seems to be gearing up to introduce its entry-level smartphone Moto C in India. What’s interesting here is that Moto seems set to embark its offline journey with the C-series smartphones. As per reports, the Moto C will be an offline exclusive and is likely to retail for Rs. 6,499.

Lenovo’s decision to explore offline market is not entirely surprising as about eighty percent population still prefers to buy smartphones offline and that’s precisely the why brands like Oppo, Vivo, and Gionee, who have a strong presence in offline realms, continue to gain market share. Online champions like Xiaomi and OnePlus have opened up their offline stores in select cities as well. On the other hand, Honor which was earlier an online exclusive is now selling smartphone both offline and online.

In terms of specification, the Moto C sports a 5-inch FWVGA display with 480 x 854 pixels resolution. At the heart of it packs a MediaTek MT6737M chipset clocked at 1.1GHz. The phone comes with 1GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. It has a dedicated microSD card slot which supports memory expansion up to 32GB.

This dual-SIM smartphone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat OS. The phone flaunts a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front-facing camera which also comes with a LED flash support.

For connectivity it includes 4G LTE, VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and USB OTG. The smartphone is aided by a small 2350mAh battery. As of now, Motorola has remained tight-lipped about the launch details.
