About a month ago, Carl Pei’s Nothing launched its first affordable smartphone Nothing Phone 2a, thus entering into the budget category of devices. Nothing Phone 2a starts at a price of Rs. 23,999 in the country and goes all the way up to Rs. 27,999. Alongside Nothing Phone 2a, the brand also announced two audio products under its sub-brand CMF- CMF by Nothing Buds and CMF by Nothing Neckband Pro that offer top-grade specs at the lowest of prices.

Now, a month after the launch of these three products, the focus has started shifting to Nothing’s big launch of the year- Nothing Phone (3). Some recent reports have tipped not only the chipset that might power Nothing Phone (3) but also its price range.

Nothing Phone (3)

Nothing Phone (3) which is expected to launch in the next few months is said to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC. Reports also claim that Nothing Phone 3 will have a price between Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 45,000 in India. Nothing wants to focus on making its mark in the 20k to 40k price segment and doesn’t plan on going premium anytime soon.

Successor to Nothing Phone 2, Nothing Phone (3) is also expected to launch in July 2024. Just like Nothing Phone (2) was powered by Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, which wasn’t a flagship processor, Nothing Phone (3) is also expected to be powered by Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 (which lies between Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3).

Nothing Phone (3) will most likely retail via Flipkart like all other Nothing devices.

Nothing Phone (3) Teaser

Nothing recently shared a video on its microblogging platform X which led to speculations about the new product Nothing is planning to roll out. While some claim it can be Nothing Ear (3) Buds, others believe it might be a hint towards the launch of 3rd generation Nothing Phone.

When Nothing launched Phone (1), it teased a parrot and during Nothing Phone (2), it teased an octopus. This time the video has a leaping frog, which has led to speculations about it being Nothing Phone (3).

Nothing Phone (3): Expected Specs

Nothing Phone (3) is expected to have a dual camera setup at the back just like Nothing Phone (1) and Nothing Phone (2). It might get new sensors or zoom capabilities. The company might offer a 1TB storage model this time and do away with 128GB like many devices have been doing. The design will follow the signature language and be transparent, but how it will be improved remains to be seen.

The existing Nothing Phone model has an LTPO panel for display, so the same is said to continue with Nothing Phone (3) as well. Nothing Phone (3) might pack a 300mAh larger, 5000mAh battery under the hood with wired and wireless fast charging.

Since the launch of Nothing Phone (3) is still three months away, all these can be considered speculations. We will get to know more about the features as the launch month gets closer.
