The Nokia 7 Plus (Review) has been hailed by both its fans and critics as one of the best mid-range phones of 2018 in India. However, there is a minor thorn in its specs sheet, the missing dual 4G LTE support. Like most other phones, the Nokia 7 Plus can run 4G LTE only on one SIM at a time. The second SIM automatically switches to 3G.
Addressing to that need, HMD Global has announced that soon Nokia 7 Plus will support 4G LTE support on both SIM slots. Its Chief Executive Officer, Juha Sarvikar, confirmed on Twitter by saying “(Nokia 7 Plus) 2nd sim will support LTE shortly!”. The Nokia 7 Plus chipset, Snapdragon 660, is fully competent to do so.
Since Airtel and other telecom operators are opting for VoLTE services to compete with Reliance Jio, the dual-SIM VoLTE support on handsets have become the need of the hour.
