The story of Nokia’s resurgence is one that will be told again and again over the time in smartphone folklore. The revived juggernaut (with the help of HMD Global, of course) is traversing back to its original glory, thanks to the recent horde of phones that it is churning out.

Although officially, the company is still playing the waiting game as far its flagship Android smartphone is concerned, leaks have popped up indicating that two new phones are in the offing.

The two, tentatively titled Nokia 7 and Nokia 8 (may come out with different moniker altogether), are both being said to feature the Snapdragon 660 SoC, which has long been expected to be the successor to the Snapdragon 653 and 625 chipsets.

Rumors suggest that the phones would be siblings (and hence may come out with similar features), with the latter being the bigger one and the former, the smaller one.

Along the tentative specifications that are being said to be on the cards is a new metal unibody design with thin bezels, completely different from the earlier ones brought out by the company.

Also, the purported phones are expected to flaunt fast charging, fingerprint scanner as well as bigger camera sensors as compared to their previous counterparts, with the Nokia 8 probably even having Zeiss optics.

The reports further suggest that as compared to the Nokia 7, it would have a bigger screen with QHD resolution, while the former will only have 1080p resolution.

It is still not known as to when the duo will appear in the market but it is very likely that they come out in May or June, accompanied by another smartphone running on Snapdragon 835 chipset (may be the Nokia 9).
