HMD Global today launched a handful of smartphones in India including the new Nokia 6 aka Nokia 6 (2018). In this upgraded version, HMD Global has tried to fix all the shortcoming of original the Nokia 6 which was launched last year.
Nokia 6 2018 Features and Highlights
The new Nokia 6 has some subtle changes in design event though HMD Global uses the same unibody design language and same 6000 series aluminum chassis. This time, the Nokia 6 features subtly curved corners and a 2.5D curved glass covers the display on top. The fingerprint sensor has also moved from front to the rear panel.
Face up, the Nokia 6 (2018) has the same 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) display with 16:9 aspect ratio. However, its innards have been upgraded. Under the hood, the phone is powered by Snapdragon 630 mobile processor which paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. If that’s not enough, you can always bump up storage using microSD card.

The updated Nokia 6 doesn’t really get anything new on optics front. It features a same 16MP rear camera from ZEISS optic. The rear camera also comes with dual-tone LED flash, PDAF and f/2.0 aperture. Up front, it packs an 8MP selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture. Nokia is also offering its ‘Bothie’ feature in this budget device.
Nokia has also swapped normal micro USB port with a USB type C port which as per the company also refill up to 50 percent of its 3000mAh battery in 30 minutes. The phone debuts in India with Android Oreo out of the box.
Nokia 6 (2018) Price In India and Availability
The Nokia 6 (2018) will retail in India for Rs 16,999 as per company’s announcement. The phone will be available on Amazon India and Nokia outlets from April 6 onwards. Cashback offers are also announced.
