A recent benchmark leak of a new smartphone by China-based handset maker LeEco has started a tumult of curiosity in the tech world, particularly about its validation.
Prima facie, it appears that the phone may be the Le X850, details of which rumor mills have been feeding us regularly for quite some time now.

These claims have been strengthened by the fact that the company put out a teaser yesterday, which invariably pointed towards the said phone.
On the flip side, it could happen to be a new smartphone altogether. One of the reasons for this assumption is the name of the phone (that features on the benchmark listing), which has been listed under the name “LeMobile XiubaleR”.
The specifications that follow are the usual ones which a typical listing gives out (RAM, Processor, Storage space et al).

When one puts together both assumptions, the scales tip in the favor of the phone being brand new and not the Le X850. This is because, contrary to its rumored specs, the ones in the listing differ considerably.
Though the Le X850 is supposed to feature a Snapdragon 821 chipset, the phone in question has a MediaTek’s Helio X20 (MT6797) processor with a deca-core CPU (which includes 2x Cortex-A72 processors and two clusters of 4x Cortex-A53 ones).
Also, among the specifications of the tentative phone are 3gigs of RAM and the very latest 7.1.2 version of the Android OS (highly unlikely tough, as it is still in Beta phase for devices supported by Google).

Well, the last bit just about gives away that we won’t be seeing this phone anytime but who knows? Maybe LeEco wants to be the first to launch a smartphone Android 7.1.2.
