Netflix is celebrating its 25th anniversary and as a part of this celebration, Netflix India has hosted a mega event to announce the upcoming exciting slate of movies that are coming to the OTT platform in 2022. The move line-up is a mix of Zoya Akhtar’s Archies to Anushka Sharma’s Chakda Express. Read on to know what the OTT giant is bringing to make #HarDinFilmyOnNetflix.
The Archies
The event began with the announcement of Zoya Akhtar’s Archies which will see the debut of Khushi Kapoor, Suhana Khan, Agastya Nanda, Mihir Ahuja, Vedang Raina, and Yuvraj Menda. The music manager launched the music of the film based on the comic book and Zoya Akhtar also talked about it.
Monica O My Darling
The movie stars Rajkumar Rao, Radhika Apte, Huma Qureshi, and Sikander Kher. It is a neo-coin crime comedy directed by Vasan Bala. It is a murder mystery that involves lust, blackmail, whodunit, blood, betrayal, and more.
Plan A Plan B
Ritesh Deshmukh and Tamannah Bhatia released the trailer of their movie ‘Plan A Plan B’ during the event. It is a love story of a matchmaker and a divorce lawyer. The film is releasing in September 2022.
Chor Nikal Ke Bhaaga
Yami Gautam and Sunny Kaushal have teamed up for the movie Chor Nikal Ke Bhaaga. It traces the story of a heist that goes wrong when a plane gets hijacked. The film also stars Sharad Kelkar.
Khufiya
Vishal Bharadwaj and Tabu are back together with Khufiya. Vishal Bharadwaj said that originally the main protagonist of this story was a male, but I wanted to work with Tabu so I changed the story. It is a mystery that has been brewing.
Kathal
The movie is a mystery wherein there is something wrong with the JackFruits and Sanya Malhotra has to get to the bottom of it. The movie stars Vijay Raj, Rajpal Yadav, and more.
Chakda Express
Anushka Sharma will be back to screen with a bang in the upcoming Chakda Express that will see her reprising the role of Jhulan Goswami.
Qala/ Art
Tripti Dimri, Swastika Mukherjee, and Babil Khan are coming with Qala. It is a beautiful, hard-breaking story about a daughter who craves her mother’s love.
Netflix also celebrated the success of its recently released Alia Bhatt starter Darlings at the event.
