MWC 2018: Huawei MateBook X Pro with Intel i7 and Full View Display Launched

Huawei unveiled the successor of its last year MateBook X, the MateBook X Pro in Barcelona. The company claims it to be the world’s first FullView touch-screen notebook with 91 percent screen-to-body ratio.

The major highlights of the Huawei MateBook X Pro are its ultra-thin design, 3K borderless display, and Intel’s i7 processor humming within.

Huawei MateBook X Pro Specifications

The MateBook X Pro comes clad in a metal unibody design with a sandblast finish and fingerprint sensor embedded in the power button. The Lid, which has an edge-to-edge screen, sports a 13.9-inch touchscreen with 3000X2000 pixels.

Since there is no room for the camera in the screen bezels, Huawei has uniquely placed the webcam under the functional, F5 key. The full-sized keyboard is backlit and spill proof.

Under the hood, the MateBook X Pro is powered by eighth-generation Intel Core i7-8550U processor integrated with Nvidia GeForce MX150 GPU. The chipset is paired with 8GB/16 GB LPDDR3 memory and 256GB/512GB NVMe PCIe storage space.

The MateBook X Pro is 14.6mm thick and houses 57.4 Wh Lithium Polymer battery that pushes its overall weight to about 1.33kg. Moreover, the laptop is aided by quad-speaker system featuring the Dolby ATMOS Sound System to provide consumers with an immersive sound experience.

In terms of connectivity, the laptop supports two USB Type-C ports including one Thunderbolt 3 port for fast charging, 3.5mm headphone jack, a USB-A port.

Huawei MateBook X Pro Price and Availability

Huawei has not revealed the price and availability of its MateBook Pro X. But what we do know is that it is going to be available in two colors option: Space Gray and Mystic Silver.
