Motorola Moto G51 5G launched in India; Here’s Specs, Price, and Sale Details

Motorola is here with its new 5G entrant in India by launching the much-awaited Moto G51. The phone will cater to the needs of the midrange mobile market in the country. It comes as India’s first smartphone powered by Snapdragon 480+ SoC. Other key features include a 120Hz FHD+ display, 50MP triple rear camera setup, 5000mAh battery, and IP52 water repellant design. 

Motorola Moto G51 Price and Availability

Motorola Moto G51 is priced at Rs 14,999 in India for its sole 4+64GB model. The phone offers two colour variants of Bright Silver and Indigo Blue. The G51 will hit the market shore from December 16 at 12 noon through Flipkart. 

Motorola Moto G51 Features

Moto G51 arrives with a big 6.8-inch LCD punch-hole display, a resolution of 2400×1080 pixels, a refresh rate of 120Hz, and an aspect ratio of 20:9. The device bears a plastic body all around with an IP52 rating for water resistance feature. The phone offers a rear fingerprint sensor and face unlock.

For optics, Moto G51 sports triple cameras on the back comprising a 50MP main camera, an 8MP wide/depth sensor, a 2MP macro lens, and an LED flash. It has a 13MP selfie camera housed inside the centred punch-hole.

The Lenovo-owned brand has upgraded the Moto G51 with Snapdragon 480+ chipset from its predecessor Moto G50 which was powered by the Snapdragon 480 processor and didn’t arrive in India. The device is paired with Adreno 619 GPU, 4GB LPDDR4x RAM, and 64GB UFS 2.1 built-in storage expandable up to 512GB. It runs on near-stock Android 11 with an assurance to upgrade to Android 12. 

Moto G51 juices power from a 5000mAh battery with support of 20W fast charging. The phone offers 12 global 5G bands. Other connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a Type-C port. It ships with ThinkShield Mobile encryption for protection against malware, phishing, and other security threats.
