Moto X4 with 6GB RAM and Android Oreo Coming to India on February 1

Lenovo-owned Motorola is likely to announce a new 6GB RAM variant of its Moto X4 in India on February 1. The phone was originally launched back in November last year, and now the company is upgrading it with more memory. (Read in Hindi)

Moto confirmed the news of launch on its Twitter handle where they posted the teaser of the phone with “faster, smarter and sharper” tagline. Additionally, the Moto X4 may come running on latest Android Oreo out of the box, something that 3GB and 4GB RAM variants will get via OTA update soon.

Moto X4 6GB Variant Features

Other than the obvious difference in RAM, other hardware remains same.

If you recall, the Moto X4 came with 5.2-inch full HD AMOLED display at 16:9 aspect ratio with Corning Gorilla Glass topping on top. Under the hood, the phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 mobile platform. Moto might even double the storage of the phone from 64GB to 128GB on the new Moto X4.

For shutterbugs, the Moto X4 features a combination of 12MP main sensor (f/2.0 aperture) and an 8MP secondary camera (f/2.2 aperture) to a measured depth of field for bokeh. Up front, there is a 16MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture.

The phone will be backed by a 3000mAh battery and comes bundled with a turbocharger which can top up six hours of power in 15 minutes. The fingerprint sensor is on the front.

And just like the previous variant, the new Moro X4 will also be IP68 water-and-dust-resistant certified, which means the phone can last in up to 1.5 meters of water for 30 minutes.

On the connectivity front, the smartphone will come with options like USB Type-C port, NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, GPS, GLONASS, dual SIM card support with 4G VoLTE.

Moto X4 6GB Variant India Price

The Moto X4 price in India is Rs. 20,999 for the 3GB RAM option and Rs. 22,999 for the 4GB RAM variant. The new Moto X4 with 6GB RAM is expected to be priced at Rs. 25,990 and will retail exclusively on Flipkart and Moto Hub.
