Apart from the bunch of Moto G6-series phones, Lenovo-owned Motorola also took the wrap off its entry-level Moto E5-series handsets. These include Moto E5, E5 Play, and E5 Plus. All three are the stock-Android phones and two of them – the E5 and E5 Plus – sport full-vision displays and the E5 Play has a conventional (or dated?) 16:9 screen.

Moto E5 Plus Features
Of the three new Moto E5 phones, the Plus model should be the most popular option. It has a bigger display than the two – a 6-inch IPS display with 18:9 aspect ratio and HD+ (720×1440 pixel) resolution, more powerful processor – Snapdragon 435 processor, and a whopping 5000mAh battery.
In optics, the Moto E5 Plus plays with a 12-megapixel primary camera sensor with f/2.0 aperture lens, laser autofocus and PDAF, and LED flash on the back. Whereas, up front, it has an 8-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture lens.

Other specifications of the Moto E5 Plus include splash-resistant coating, Android 8.0 Oreo, 3GB RAM, and 32Gb onboard storage – expandable via dedicated microSD card.
Moto E5 and E5 Play Features
On the second spot, we have Moto E5. The handset comes with 5.7-inch display with the same 18:9 aspect ratio and HD+ resolution as its elder sibling. It is powered by 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon 425 chipset, paired with meager 2GB of RAM and up to 32GB of onboard storage.
For photography, the Moto E5 sports a 13-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture lens and LED flash and a 5-megapixel selfie camera on the front. Other specifications on the same include Android Oreo, 4000mAh battery, and dedicated microSD card.
The Moto E5 Play, on the other hand, is equipped with 5.2-inch HD (720×1280 pixel), a 2800mAh battery, Snapdragon 425/ 427 SoC, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, 8MP rear camera, 5MP selfie camera, and dedicated microSD card slot.
Moto E5, E5 Play, E5 Plus Price and Availability
The Moto E5 price is set at EUR 149 (around Rs. 12,000), whereas Moto E5 Plus will cost EUR 169 (approximately Rs. 13,700). The Moto E5 Plus price has not been revealed yet. As per Motorola, all the three Moto E5 phones will be available in Asia Pacific (including India), Europe, and Latin America in the coming months. So stay tuned!
