Moto E4 And E4 Plus With HD Display, Android Nougat And Rapid Charging Announced

Lenovo-owned Motorola has now announced its latest additions to smartphone range launched this year with two new smartphones, which will be a part of its E-series of devices. The two phones have been christened as the Moto E4 and the Moto E4 Plus, and would both be budget outings by the company.

Going by the slew of smartphones it has been releasing this year, starting with the G series (fifth gen), Motorola seems intent of keeping the momentum running, as this announcement clearly indicates.

The new Moto E4

Both the phones will be coming in sporting a metal unibody and, according to company claims, would offer “all day battery, outstanding display and advanced camera capabilities”, for those on a shoestring budget.

For the E4, Motorola has provided for a 5-inch HD display (720p, topped by 2.5D cover glass) and the very latest Android 7.1 Nougat OS. Other than that, the features that lower variant of the new E-series will offer are a 2GB RAM, 16GB ROM, 1.4GHz Snapdragon 427 chipset (quad-core), 2,800mAh battery (with rapid charging) and, 8MP (back) and 5MP (front) cameras.

The bigger one of the two will have a 5.5-inch HD display (1280x720p, 2.5D cover glass on top). It will sport the same Snapdragon 427 chipset and 2GB RAM combination as the E4, will be out in two variants differing on the inbuilt ROM capacities (16GB and 32GB).

The other specifications of the Moto E4 Plus include a 5,000mAh battery and, 13MP rear (f/2.0 aperture) and 5MP front (f/2.2 aperture) cameras.

Also, the two phones would sport a water-repellent nano coating and have 1080p (@30fps) video recording capabilities.
