Microsoft has launched a new photography app – Microsoft Selfie for iOS users. Under the leadership of new CEO Staya Nadella, Microsoft has been trying to evolve themselves by focusing more on their software and services. After introducing a bunch of Android apps, Microsoft introduced a selfie app for iOS.
As the name implies, this app tends to enhance users selfie experience by automatically tweaking the colour balance, skin tone, and lighting in imperfect selfies.

The Microsoft Selfie app uses a unique algorithm which accounts age, gender, skin tone, lighting, and other variables and instantly applies with minimal user dependence. As per the company, the app automatically reduces noise in selfies which is a common phenomenon. Microsoft seflie app also comes preloaded with filters fine-tune selfies as per individual’s liking.

Unlike various other photography applications, Microsoft Selfie doesn’t give users any option to share their selfies directly on social media sites like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Google Photos. Lumia users already have a similar app on Windows app store, perhaps Android users will get one soon. Microsoft Selfie in now live and can be downloaded from App Store for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.
