Micromax Canvas Xpress – First Micromax To Get Android Lollipop

Android has been the juice of more than 80 % of the smartphones in the present day market. It has turned out to be the most successful and interactive operating system that the smartphones have ever had. The formerly latest version of Android, known as Android Kitkat v4.4, has recently got a whole new successor to it, the Android Lollipop v5.0. Well, for such smartphone enthusiasts there is some great news regarding their wait time being too close to get over.

Android 5.0 builds had already been announced for the Galaxy S5 and the HTC One M7, and now it’s been announced for Micromax Canvas Xpress. This will be the first Micromax smartphone to receive this update. Other handsets in the Micromax Canvas clan are supposed to receive the upgrade soon. Lollipop brings over several interesting features, including Google’s new Material Design interface and interactive notifications.

Micromax Canvas Xpress review

Android Lollipop update for the Micromax Canvas Xpress users is available OTA (over the air). They will get a notification on the smartphone that will allow them to download the update. Users can also check manually for the upgrade from Setting, about phone, software update. Note that like every software update, this will be reaching out in waves and not to everyone at the same time. For a safer update, we recommend:

  • Atleast 50% of battery charge
  • Wi-fi connection
