Meizu V8, Meizu V8 Pro with 5.7-inch HD+ display, Android 8.1 Officially Announced

Meizu has launched two entry-level smartphones Meizu V8 and V8 Pro in China.Key specifications of both of these phones include a 5.7-inch HD+ display with 1440×720p, and Android 8.1 Oreo UX.

Meizu V8, Meizu V8 Pro Features

Meizu V8 and Meizu V8 Pro feature a 5.7-inch HD+ display having 1440×720p resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. The company claims that the front panel of both these phones feature a contrast of 1000:1 and 450 nits brightness. Both the phones have the same UX, Android 8.1 Oreo layered with Meizu’s Flyme OS atop.

The Meizu V8 comes with a 1.5GHz Quad-Core MediaTek MT6739 teamed with 3GB RAM + 32GB onboard storage. The device has a polycarbonate casing which bears a 13MP primary rear camera having f/2.2 aperture. As for the front camera, it bears a 5MP (f/1.9) selfie shooter equipped with face unlock technology. The device also features a dedicated fingerprint scanner and 3,200mAh battery unit.

The superior variant, Meizu V8 Pro cases a 2GHz Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P22 teamed with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage under the hood. The pro version features a smaller battery of 3,100mAh capacity. In terms of optics, the phone features a dual rear camera setup of 12MP + 5MP setup combo and f/2.2 aperture. A 5MP sensor is employed to click selfies and has f/1.9 aperture as well as face unlock support.

Meizu V8, Meizu V8 Pro Price

Meizu V8 is retails in Black and White options for 799 yuan (approx. Rs 8,400) whereas, the V8 Pro is available in Black and gold options for a price of 1,098 yuan (approx. Rs 11,600).
