Meizu today introduced its new Flagship phone, the Meizu Pro 6 Plus, that comes with a 5.7-Inch 2K AMOLED display and is powered by Octa-Core Exynos 8890 SoC, the one driving current Samsung flagships.
Meizu claims that the display on the Pro 6 Plus targets 103 percent of NTSC Gamut, and is protected by 3D Gorilla Glass 4. The handset will be available in two configurations with 64GB and 128GB (UFS 2.0) internal storage, each with 4GB LPDDR4 RAM.
The dual SIM handset comes with a 12MP rear camera with dual-tone 10-LED Ring Flash, Laser Auto-focus, 4-axis OIS, PDAF, 6P lenses, and f/2.0 aperture. And there is a 5MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture for selfies on the front.
For high-quality Audio, Meizu employs ESS ES9018K2M audi chip and ADI AD45275 amplifier. Other notable features include Fingerprint sensor, heart rate sensor, infrared sensor and Android Marshmallow based Flyme OS.
Speaking of which, the company also unveiled the new content driven FlymeOS 6.0 skin which is complete overhaul incorporates 400 new features. The Meizu Pro 6 Plus will be among the first few phones to get the new skin.
The handset is just 7.3mm slim and is quite light at 158 grams (considering its sheer size, that is). The handset comes with a rich set of connectivity options that include 4G VoLTE , WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4/5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and NFC.
The handset will start retailing in China later next month for price starting 2999 yuan (Rs. 30,000 approx.). It will be available in Champagne Gold, Sky Grey and Moonlight Silver colors.
