MediaTek Helio P70 Vs Qualcomm 660 Benchmark Tests
For this battle of chipset supremacy in the mid-range segment, we took Realme U1 and Realme 2 Pro and tested both these phones on Antutu 7, Geekbench 4.1 for multi-core and single-core, and GFX T-Rex Graphics Score.
Antutu 7 Benchmark
On the Antutu 7 test, the Realme U1 scored 1,45,021 which is ahead of Realme 2 Pro’s 1,32,108. To put things in context, we also tested Snapdragon 636 based Redmi Note 6 Pro which managed to hit 1,15,611 mark and Snapdragon 632 powered Honor 8C which managed to touch 1,04,156. On the Antutu test, higher scores are better and it is MediaTek P70 that takes the lead.
Geekbench 4.1Multicore
On Geekbench’s multi-core benchmark test the MediaTek P70 based Realme U1 once again stood out with a score of 6602 followed by Snapdragon 660 powered Realme 2 Pro. The third position goes to the Snapdragon 636 based Redmi Note 6 Pro with 4998 scores while more recently launched Snapdragon 632 SoC powered Honor 8C stood last with 2465.
Geekbench 4.1 Single Core
The Geekbench Single Core benchmark scoreline is almost similar to what we noticed in the multi-core test. The Realme U1 takes the first place while the Honor 8C was the least impressive one with a score of 1254.
GFX T-Rex Graphics Score
As far as graphics benchmarks are concerned, the Snapdragon 660 seems to have a clear advantage with it touching 39 frames per second on GFX R-Rex graphics benchmark test. Surprisingly, the Snapdragon 632 SoC based Honor 8C came second with 36fps, MediaTek P70 based U1 took the third spot with 35fps and Snapdragon 636 powered the Redmi Note 6 Pro came last with 34fps.

MediaTek Helio P70 Vs Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 Which One Is Better?
It is evident from the above benchmark scores is that both these chipset are very close in terms of performance. Both chipsets are known for their reliable performance and generally feature in reasonable mid-range and affordable segment phones. However, strictly speaking about the benchmark it seems MediaTek helio P70 out numbers Qualcomm 660 in CPU performance while Adreno GPU continues to outclass the Mali GPU that we accustomed to see with MediaTek chipsets. In practical usage, the experience on both phones felt largely the same.
