Made by Google Event 2022: Pixel 7 Series, Pixel Watch & Pixel Tab revealed

Google has finally held the ‘Made by Google’ launch event today wherein the brand has announced a host of new hardware products. These include the much-anticipated Pixel 7 Series, along with Pixel Watch and Pixel Tablet. This time around, Pixel 7 and 7 Pro are the most secure and private phones yet. Read on to know more about these newly launched devices.

Google Pixel 7 Series: Price & Availability

The Google Pixel 7 is priced at 599 dollars in the US while the Pixel 7 Pro is priced at 899 dollars in the US. Both these devices are up for pre-order from today and will be on sale from next week.

Google Pixel 7 comes in Obsidian, Snow, and Lemongrass colors while the Google Pixel 7 Pro comes in Obsidian, Snow, and Hazel colorways.

Google Pixel Watch & Pixel Tablet: Price & Availability

Google Pixel watch will be available for 349 dollars for the Bluetooth/WiFi variant whereas the LTE+Bluetooh model is priced at 399 dollars. The Watch is available for pre-order via the google online store from today.

Pixel Tablet will be launched in 2023.

Google Pixel 7 Specs

The Google Pixel 7 sports a 6.3-inch OLED display with an FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. It is powered by a Google Tensor G2 chipset and is paired up with 8GB RAM. The Pixel 7 comes with ‘Secure by default, ‘Private by design’, and ‘You’re in Control’ security features. It comes with 5 years of security updates, minimizes your data footprint, de-identify data, and restricts access to whatever you like.

In terms of camera, the Google Pixel 7 comes with a dual rear camera setup on the back that includes a 50MP main and a 12MP ultrawide camera. The Pixel 7 camera comes with a ‘Guided Frame’ feature that helps blind people take perfect selfies. Features like Photo Unblur, Cinematic Blur, Super Res Zoom, and Zoom Stabilization make sure that you can click the best quality photos and videos. It has an 11MP selfie lens as well. The smartphone comes with Google’s Titan security chip and packs a 4700mAh battery with 30W fast charging. It will run Android 13 out of the box and have an IP68 rating.

Google Pixel 7 Pro Specs

The Pro variant in the Google Pixel 7 Series sports a 6.7-inch LTPO display with a QHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It is also powered by a Tensor G2 chipset paired with up to 12GB RAM. The Pixel 7 Pro comes with ‘Secure by default, ‘Private by design’, and ‘You’re in Control’ security features. It comes with 5 years of security updates, minimizes your data footprint, de-identify data, and restricts access to whatever you like.

In the camera department, the Pixel 7 Pro has a triple camera setup on the back. It includes a 48MP telephoto, a 50MP main, and a 12MP ultrawide angle lens. The Pixel 7 Pro camera comes with a ‘Guided Frame’ feature that helps blind people take perfect selfies. Features like Photo Unblur, Cinematic Blur, Super Res Zoom, and Zoom Stabilization make sure that you can click the best quality photos and videos. The front has an 11MP selfie shooter. The smartphone packs a 5000mAh battery with 30W fast charging and comes with Google’s Titan security chip. It will run Android 13 out of the box and have an IP68 rating.

This time around Pixel 7 devices will have Pixel Feature drops every few months. This means new features will be introduced every once in a while. The first Pixel Drop will include Pixel Call Assist and, Clear calling.

Google Pixel Watch Specs

The first wearable from Google is powered by the Samsung Exynos 9110 chip and has 1.5GB RAM and 32GB storage. It has a round face and round edges and is powered by a 300mAh battery. The Pixel Watch has health tracking features from Fitbit and runs WearOS by Google. Fitbit health features include a constant heart rate monitoring sensor. The Google Pixel Watch comes with 6 months of Fitbit premium that contains more than 1000 workouts. Pixel Watch comes with 3 months of YouTube Music Premium as well.

The watch is made of recycled stainless steel and has a tactile crown that looks similar to an Apple watch. The Pixel Watch comes in black, silver, and gold colors and measures 40mm wide and 14mm thick. The watch is not compatible with iPhones as of now and a cellular 4G LTE option is also expected to arrive in the near future.

The Pixel Watch comes in 3 finishes- Silver, Gold & Black and many strap options that help personalize your Pixel watch.

Pixel Tablet Announced

The new Pixel Tablet is made of aluminum and has a ceramic texture. It will have the same G2 chipset and come with a new Charging Speaker Dock that will not only charge your device but also be helpful 24×7 and provide new experiences.
