LG Watch W7 Launched: A fusion of Traditional and Digital Watch

0

LG’s new edition in the wearables department is the LG Watch W7. This watch tries to sport a hybrid look by adding analog watch hands over the digital display. Though the runtime of the watch lasts long, it looks.. a bit unusual on paper. Perhaps, it will suit the people who want to stick to the traditional look but would love some added digital perks.

LG watch W7 Features

The  LG Watch W7 features a 1.2-inch touchscreen display with the standard 22mm strap. LG claims that “In addition to keeping accurate time, the mechanical hands also display additional information such as altimeter, barometer, stopwatch, timer and compass directions”.

The Watch W7 still runs on the older Snapdragon 2100 processor coupled with a 768 MB RAM and 4GB internal storage. The watch houses a 240 mAh battery and comes bundled with a Type-C charger. It lasts for two days with a normal display and up to a staggering 100 days in the ‘watch only’ mode. But that mode essentially turns the device into a normal analog watch.

LG’s Watch W7 lacks a heart rate sensor and doesn’t have a built-in GPS or LTE connectivity either. It even misses the NFC option for Google Pay. So, it’s had to see this as a true alternative to a fitness band or the modern day smartwatches. It comes at a Best-buy price of $450 and will be available in Cloud Silver color. The preorders begin on October 7th and the watches will be available from October 14th.
