LG V40 With Five Cameras and iPhone X-like 3D Face Unlock Officially Confirmed

Over the years, cameras have become a dominant factor in a phone, and OEMs are trying to master smartphone photography with some insane hardware and software techniques. Writing a new chapter, the South Korean tech giant LG is manufacturing a phone with five cameras.

According to the source, the phone in question will be dubbed as LG V40 and sport three cameras on the back and two on the front. The handset is going to be the company’s flagship phone succeeding the LG V35 ThinQ.

LG V40 Features (Expected)

The phone’s triple rear camera is said to feature one standard and one LG-signature ultrawide lens shooter, and the third sensor remains a mystery. It’s likely to be a zoom lens that can capture lossless image from far off distance, just like the Huawei P20 Pro.

The LG V40 front camera is expected to boast of dual-rear camera setup. Again the sensors are not known, but what we do know is that it accommodates 3D face mapping, similar to Face ID on iPhone X.

Talking about the LG V40 specification, it is speculated to come with Snapdragon 845 chipset from Qualcomm, notch display, and LG’s quad-DAC. It will also have a dedicated Google Assistant button on the side and a fingerprint sensor on the rear. The LG V40 launch is expected to happen later this year.
