LG To Launch Smart-Ceiling Fan In India by June: Features

Tech conglomerate LG is planning to introduce its IoT-based ceiling fan in India soon. The fan will have internet connectivity and can be controlled using a smartphone. These fans are going to be “energy efficient” and “aesthetically designed” and would have higher value propositions.

LG Electronics India Managing Director, Ki Wan Kim, confirmed the news to PTI. He said, “This year we are preparing to launch (smart) ceiling fan in India.”

LG Smart-Ceiling Fan Specification

The smart-ceiling fan will have features like adaptive speed control and cloud controls. The former will allow the fan to automatically adjust its speed with the change in temperature and the latter gives users access to the fan from anywhere using their smartphone.

Further, the fans will have removable parts, which means they will be easy to clean and wash after dismantling.

As most of you know that IoT or internet of things refers to the network of devices that are connected with each other through the internet. LG has plans to increase the number of IoT-based appliances in different segments, depending on the demand.

“Of course, we would do one by one and model by model,” Kim told PTI, adding that IoT based appliances have “huge potential” here.

LG Smart-Ceiling Fan Price and Release Date

LG smart-fan will debut in the Indian market by June this year along with two other premium-category ceiling fan. The firm did not give any hint on the pricing of the smart-fans.

Besides, the company is also working to bring its energy-saving inverter technology to host of its other products like washing machines and refrigerators to make them energy-efficient.
