LG G5 With Modular Design And ‘Friends’ Launched In India

South Korean Consumer durable conglomerate, LG, today launched its much-hyped flagship LG G5 in India. The universally applauded smartphone is known for its modular design and swappable accessories called LG Friends. It goes on Sale today on Flipkart at Rs. 52,990. The G5 is available in Gold, Titan and Sliver colors. As an introductory offer, LG is also offering free battery and charging cradle worth Rs.3499.

LG G5 launched in India

The LG G5 is quite different compared to other flagship smartphones in 2016. Apart from competent flagship like specs, you get to play with modular attachments or ‘Friends’. These Friends includes LG Cam Plus, LG Hi-Fi Plus with B&O Play, LG 360 Cam, LG 360 VR, LG Rolling Bot, LG Tone Platinum. LG CAM Plus comes with a record, zoom shutter, and power button along with a comfortable grip. It also comes with an extra 1,200mAh battery. Apart from this, LG G5 also made the headlines with its Always on display which consume less than one percent battery in an hour (in spite of being an LCD panel).

LG Friends review

As far as specification goes, G5 is powered by a 64-bit Snapdragon 820 chipset, coupled with 4GB RAM and Adreno 530 GPU. Under the hood, it features a low power Qualcomm Hexagon DSP with Qualcomm Spectra 14-bit dual image signal processors (ISPs).  The phone bears a 5.3-inch Quad HD IPS Quantum Display with 2560 x 1440 resolution with 554ppi pixel density. The phone comes with 32GB internal storage which is expandable up to 2TB via microSD card. It runs on latest Android version, i.e. Android Marshmallow.

For shutterbugs, the flagship smartphone features a dual-camera setup including a 16-megapixel 78-degree lens and an 8-megapixel 135-degree wide angle lens. On the front, it bears an 8-megapixel selfie camera. The phone is backed by 2800mAh battery and supports connectivity options like 4G LTE support, USB Type-C port, NFC and Bluetooth 4.2.
