LG CX 48-inch OLED TV arrives in India

LG has launched a 48-inch size OLED TV under its CX-series. The new TV features 4K support, major HDR standards, α9 Gen 3 AI Processor with NVIDIA G-Sync, and has four HDMI ports that make it perfect for gaming and as a monitor substitute. The 55-inch, 65-inch, and 77-inch variants were launched earlier last year.

LG CX 48-inch OLED TV Features

LG first presented the CX-48 at the CES 2020 event with a 48-inch 4K OLED panel supporting a resolution of 3840×2160 pixels. It offers a perfect viewing angle with advanced features like self-lighting pixel and an eye comfort experience. The TV is powered by an Alpha9 Gen3 AI processor and supports Dolby Vision, HDR 10, HLG, and Motion Pro standards. It comes with NVIDIA G-SYNC support for a smoother gaming experience.

The LG CX 48-inch TV sports a 2.2 channel speaker system on the front with an output of 40 watts. It supports Dolby Atmos technology for surround sound.

Running on LG’s in-house WebOS, the TV lets you enjoy all the popular OTT platforms with hotkeys for Netflix, Prime Video, and Zee5 on the remote control. The LG Magic remote is meant to work on wave movement as well as the traditional way. The TV supports Google Assistant and Alexa for voice commands. It also has built-in Chromecast and Apple AirPlay2 support.

For wireless connectivity, the LG OLED TV supports dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0. The physical connectivity options include four HDMI 2.1 ports, 3 USB ports, an RF input, a LAN port, an optical port, and a headphone jack. The Home Dashboard feature lets you control your smart home appliances.

LG CX 48-inch OLED TV Price and Availability

The LG CX 48-inch TV is priced at INR 1,99,990 in India, which is more expensive than the 55-inch model. The new television is listed on LG’s website and on Amazon. The device will also be available through major offline LG retail stores.
