Remember Vibe X2? A handset with refreshingly unique layered design launched last year? Well Lenovo has launched its successor, the Vibe X3, which isn’t remotely as quirky but lays much emphasis on its audio prowess. Lenovo has launched three variants of Vibe X3 in China, where 2 are distinguished by native storage space and the third one is a more affordable ‘Youth’ variant.

Lenovo is religiously serious about associated audio experience in Vibe X3. All variants have Front facing speakers, three Texas Instruments OPA1612 amplifiers, a Cirrus Logic WM8281 codec for noise and echo cancellation to handle the input from the three mics, and a high-end Sabre 9018C2M DAC. Dolby Atmos certification is also branded on Vibe X3, but we feel it’s more of a marketing term for all practical purposes.

That’s not all they have in common. You will get a 5.5 Inch full HD displays shielded with Gorilla Glass 3, and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor module irrespective of which variant you opt for.

The top 2 models are powered by Snapdragon 808 with 3GB RAM and 32GB/ 64GB internal storage. Also present is 23MP Sony IMX230 with PDAF and an 8MP front camera. You can record 4K videos if you please and for uninterrupted usage, there is a capacious 3600mAh battery inside that supports rapid charging.

The Youth variant is powered by 1.3 GHz MediaTek Chipset (we are guessing, MT6753) aided with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage. Battery capacity is a bit smaller at 3400mAh, but the battery is removable. For photography, a 16MP rear camera and 5MP front shooter are present.
