Lenovo has finally brought the ThinkPad X1 Fold to India, which happens to be the world’s first foldable PC. The centerpiece of the device is its folding design which proposes a bigger yet portable canvas. It sports a flexible 2K OLED panel laid on top of a specially engineered mechanical hinge. Prop up the bundled keyboard and you’ve got a clamshell-like format. Needless to say, you can use it as a tablet too.

Here are the other ingredients in the mix —

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold Features

The backbone of X1 Fold’s design is the multilink torque hinge, which the company claims to have passed 27 MIL-STD 810H endurance tests and rated with 12 military-grade certifications. The company also emphasizes how the hinge has undergone thousands of opening and closing tests.

The brand has also reworked a custom motherboard to better accommodate the internal components. Also, there are several heat dissipaters inside to ensure optimal temperatures.

On top of this is a flexible polymer OLED with 2K resolution that supports Lenovo’s Active Pen. You can set up the device in varied forms and the Lenovo Mode Switcher app fixes the orientation accordingly. It comes with a folio that combos as a kickstand and is compatible with an optional easel. You also get to use split screen windows, on-screen keyboard (when the Bluetooth one isn’t connected).
