Lenovo introduces Lemon 3 with Snapdragon 616 and 2GB RAM in China

Chinese tech conglomerate Lenovo has decided to take on compatriot Xiaomi in its own play. In less than two days of Xiaomi Redmi 3 launch, Lenovo has introduced its Lemon 3 budget phone with almost identical specs sheet. To heat up the competition, Lenovo has kept a price identical to Xiaomi Redmi 3. In China, Lenovo Lemon 3 will sale at RMB 699 which translate to Rs. 7,150 approx.

As per the listing on the official site, Lenovo Lemon 3 sports a 5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and 441ppi pixel density. Just like its counterpart in the segment – Redmi 3, it is also powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 ticking at 1.5GHz. Graphics are taken care by Adreno 405 GPU with the assistance from 2GB of RAM.

The Lenovo Lemon 3 comes with dual-SIM 4G standby support and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop. It is interesting to note, Lemon 3 supports Indian bands in 4G LTE which seems to indicate Lenovo has plans to bring it to India.

In terms of other specifications, Lenovo Lemon 3 comes with 16GB on-boards storage with an expansion slot. For photography, it wears a 13-megapixel primary shooter at the back along with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front facing camera. This Lemon series phone features a 2750mAh battery, which according to the company, can deliver stand by time up to 15 days. Lenovo has also packed in Maxx Audio in this phone.
