Hello smartphone lovers! Smartphones have increasingly been occupying an important place in our lives these days and with a sea full of options to choose from in every price segment, it becomes really a task to make a choice. Speaking of making a final call, you have a lot of options to call dibs on your choice, provided that you stay updated with tech evolutions. One such option is comparing your options on online comparison websites like www.smartprix.com. Well now I’m here to help you choose from among Lenovo A6000, Xiaomi Redmi 1S and Asus Zenfone 5. All three smartphones are priced under INR 10,000 and each one has something making its side heavier in the battle of comparison.  So here is some help for you.

Processor and Hardware

Starting with Lenovo A6000, which has a 1.2 Ghz Snapdragon 410 processor accompanied by dedicated Adreno 306 GPU and 1 GB RAM, the processing unit of this phone seems to be the best possible configuration at a price of around INR 7,000. Being an LTE enabled device, the A6000 takes the lead in the race when it comes to connectivity. It runs on Android Kitkat v4.4 (the best of all three). It consists of 8 GB internal storage and a 2300 mAh Li-Po battery.

Asus Zenfone 5 is powered by a 2 Ghz dual core Intel Atom processor with a PowerVR GPU and 2 GB RAM in the 16 GB variant. No matter the clock speed is 2 Ghz, but the processor is dual core which is quite a setback for the phone. Atop this, Zenfone 5 is the most expensive among these three but the features not really exceptional enough for it to be priced higher than Lenovo A6000. It runs on Android JellyBean v4.3 which can be upgraded to Android Kitkat v4.4. It consists of 8/16 GB internal storage and a 2110 mAh Li-Po battery.

Moving on to the Chinese giant powered, Xiaomi Redmi 1S, it is powered by a 1.6 Ghz quad core Snapdragon processor, which makes it the best call in terms of processor. A dedicated Adreno 305 GPU and 1 GB RAM accompany the CPU and make it the second best choice based on processing unit. It runs on Android JellyBean v4.3. It consists of 8 GB internal storage and a 2000 mAh Li-ion battery.

Camera and Display

The primary camera of all three rivals of this battle are 8 MP, with touch focus and face detection. All of them have a resolution of 3264×2448 pixels and LED flash. All of them support 1080p video recording. So there is actually no real competition posed by the lenses of any of the smartphones. Speaking of secondary camera, Lenovo A6000 and Asus Zenfone 5 sport a 2 MP camera while Xiaomi Redmi 1S lacks behind with a 1.6 MP setup.

As of display, both A6000 and Zenfone 5 incorporate 5 inch IPS LCD display with same screen resolution of 1280×720 pixels. While Redmi 1S has a 4.7 inch IPS LCD dislay with the same resolution. A6000 runs on Vibe UI, which is a great view and highly customizable. This bout goes in favor of Zenfone 5 as it is guarded by a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 against screen damage. And the Redmi 1S has MIUI for its interface.

Verdict

All three smartphones are worth their value, but just a few factors give a minimal lead to one of the rivals. In the verdict, I would prefer Lenovo A6000 over the other two rivals because of it LTE enabled feature, the largest battery of all three and the price tag attached to it. A6000 is a totally excellent device, with swift processing and multitasking functionality.

Here is a benchmark to support my verdict.
