Le Max Now Available in India; 2.20 Lakh Le 1s Sold So Far

After a very successful tryst with Le 1s (Full review | FAQ) in India, LeEco (formerly LeTV) has finally brought in Le Max to fill in Flagship phone shoes, and its already available 32,999 INR (64GB) and 36,999 INR (128GB) on Flipkart.

LeEco also shared retail numbers for Le 1s sales so far. A total of 2.20 Lakh Le 1s units were sold in 3 Flash sales, in matter of just 31 seconds. Now these are indeed impressive figures for a new Chinese brand, especially taking into account the hyper competitive nature of Indian smartphone market.

The Le Max, on the other hand lies on the expensive end of the spectrum and thus won’t be enjoying same kind of attention as Le 1s.  The Le Max is a huge phone with a 6.33-inch QHD 2K display. Minimal bezels on all sides make it more manageable, but it is still a bit too huge if you value things like single handed operations.

Hardware specs are quite powerful. There is 2.0 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 810 powering the device, assisted by 4GB LPDDR4 RAM and 64 GB/ 128 GB internal storage. For photography, there is a 21MP Sony IMX230 Sensor with dual-tone LED flash, PDAF, OIS, f/2.0 aperture and dual ISP support. On the front, there is a 4MP OmniVision OV4688 sensor with large pixel size for better quality selfies, even in poorly lit environment.

Other features include 4G LTE, WiFi ac, Bluetooth 4.1 with APT-X, GPS, NFC, MHL 3.0, USB Type C, 3.5mm audio jack, Wireless HDMI, LeHiFi and audio chip built by AKG, Fingerprint sensor and a 3400 mAh battery.
