Lava Blaze X With Dimensity 6300 SoC And Curved AMOLED Screen Launched In India: Check Specs And Price Here

The Indian manufacturing brand Lava launched its latest Blaze X 5G smartphone on Wednesday. The handset ships with a Dimensity chipset, features an elegant curved display, and houses a large 5,000 mAh battery. Priced under Rs. 17,000, the Blaze X is one of the better-equipped options in the segment.

Unlike other phones in the segment, the Blaze X features a curved display. While the side bezels are minimal, the ones at the top and the bottom are slightly thicker. Regarding the placement of functional elements, the power/volume buttons are on the right side, whereas the USB-C port, the SIM tray, the primary microphone, and the speaker grill are at the bottom of the device.

On the back panel, users get a massive circular camera cutout, which houses the two camera sensors on the left and the LED flash on the right. Last but not least, the handset will be available in Titanium Gray and Starlight Purple colors. It is noteworthy that the brand provides a charger in the box, even in 2024.

To kick things off, the Lava Blaze X features a 6.67-inch 3D curved AMOLED display with a pixel density of 394 ppi. The screen also supports a refresh rate of 120Hz. Under the hood, the smartphone runs on the 2.4GHz MediaTek Dimenity 6300 SoC. Accompanying the processor is 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage.

Regarding optics, the Lava Blaze X sports a 64MP primary sensor by Sony, along with a 2MP macro sensor on the back (with LED flash). On the front, users get a 16MP selfie shooter with a relatively small but practical flash module. Both cameras support HD recording, which should be capped at 30 fps. Other camera-related features include dual view mode, Pro Video, Slow motion, Timelapse, etc.

Powering the handset is a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 33W wired charging via a USB-C port. As mentioned on the official product page, the device takes around 110 minutes to charge from zero to 100% and provides a talk time of up to 49.5 hours. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.2, 5G, 4G, GLONASS, and GPS.

Additional features of the Lava Blaze X include a virtual RAM booster, an IP52 dust and water resistance rating, and an in-display fingerprint scanner. Lava has also promised an update to Android 15, with another year of security patches.

Lava Blaze X Price And Availability

The Lava Blaze X is available in two models. The baseline variant with 4GB of RAM costs Rs. 14,999, while the mid variant with 6GB of RAM costs Rs. 15,999. There’s also a model with 8GB of RAM, which costs Rs. 16,999.

As part of an introductory offer, the company is offering a discount of Rs. 1,000 on all the models. They will be available to purchase from Amazon and the company’s official website from July 20, 2024.
