Further strengthening its grip on the online smartphone market, Lenovo today unleashed a new K-series handset, the K6 Power, which has been placed in the K-Note lineage rather than the Vibe K series with which it shares more than a passing resemblance.
This ‘Kickass’ Lenovo phone is specced similar to the much-celebrated budget Xiaomi Phone – the Redmi 3s Prime, but there are quite a few significant differences which could add up to a substantial difference in the end user experience. We did feel the new Lenovo Vibe K6 Power up close and here is our first impression.

The Lenovo K6 Note is a sweet, dumpy offering with a sharp yet compact display. It belongs to that rare species of phones going the way of the dodo. You don’t see many 5-inch display phones to begin with and 5-inch display phones with Full HD resolution are even rarer to come by these days.
Other than that, the base design is pretty generic. The song and dance about the symmetrical placement of components along the metal back and eulogizing about the exact same dimensions of the camera sensor and fingerprint sensor feels baseless at this point in time.
For some reason, Lenovo has placed both the audio jack and charging port on the top edge, while the bottom edge lies bare, housing only the primary mic. The curved design of top and bottom plastic strips should ensure that the audio from stereo speakers doesn’t get completely blocked when the phone is resting on its back.

Lenovo is marketing the K6 Power as a multimedia-centric phone – a term that’s usually associated with bigger screen handsets, for you need more display real estate for immersive multimedia consumption. The K6 Power, however, aims to conquer those hurdles and justify the Multimedia tag with attributes like dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos (that’s only meaningful when you experience it using headphones), and TheaterMax support which allows you to experience video content on a bigger, more immersive canvas using the AntVR headset.
The defining trait for the Lenovo K6 Power should be its software, the Pure UI. This is a striking contrast to Xiaomi’s MIUI on Redmi 3s Prime.

Lenovo is consistently trimming its custom Vibe UI, skimming off unwanted bloat and adding meaningful features. This helps with optimizing performance. The company talked about features like Scrolling Screenshots, fingerprint selfies, Individual App lock, etc., but the real deal for us is the new implementation of secure zone.
For the uninitiated, Secure Zone allows you to add two of every app and sign-in with different accounts. To access the two, however, you need to go to the quick setting and switch to a new separate ‘Zone’ and the experience is anything but seamless. On the K6 power, you will see duplicate app icons in the app drawer (you can also make home screen shortcuts for both), differentiated by a secure zone icon emblazoned as superscript. This is simpler and more intuitive.
Performance Expectations
For performance, the K6 Power relies upon entry-grade Snapdragon 430 chipset, which seems to be the number one choice for manufacturers when it comes to long lasting big battery phones. We have experienced the chip before in Asus Zenfone 3 Max and Redmi 3s Prime, and it proved to be judicious with battery consumption. So, we expect the 4000mAh battery on the K6 Power to last for a considerable time.
We would like to watch out for how well the SoC handles full HD resolution on the K6 Power.
On the photography front, Lenovo offers suitable Megapixel count, for all it matters. As of now, we are pretty much in the bling regarding the camera quality, but yes, the pro mode in the app is certainly a valuable addition
The Lenovo K6 Power seems like a very competitive offering under 10K, a worthy contender to take on the Redmi 3s Prime. And you won’t have to go through agonizing flash sale routine to buy one.

Sorry sanjeev. No such option comes to mind. Samsung Note 5 is your best bet. It has a bigger display than what you are looking for, but the footprint it occupies is quite compact.
