JioPhone will be available for pre-booking once again, confirms PTI. The second phase of country’s first 4G feature phone’s pre-booking could start post-Diwali.
In August, Reliance had to stop its pre-booking after a record six-million units were sold in the initial phase. “The second phase of JioPhone booking will start after Diwali. Likely from October-end or November first week,” a Reliance Retail channel partner told PTI.

The second pre-order window of Reliance JioPhone will open with few changes under the phones refund policy section. The new policy says that the Jio user can return the phone after a year usage and get Rs. 500 in return, provided they do recharges worth Rs 1500 (in total) within that period. Similarly, if you return the phone in the second year, you will get Rs 1000 refund and for full Rs. 1500, you will have to hold it for the third year as well.
How To Track JioPhone
If you are in metro cities and waiting for your pre-ordered JioPhones, there is a good news for you too. The same PTI report has confirmed that the shipment of JioPhone in cities will start from this Saturday onwards.
So, if one of the JioPhone from that 6-million units belongs to you, this is how you can track your phone and know the exact date of the delivery:
Track via Jio-official website- The tracking details of your JioPhones can easily be extracted from Reliance Jio website. The page will ask you to feed your order number – the one you have received during pre-booking – and click on the track details option.
Track via MyJio App- You can even look for tracking details of your JioPhone through the Reliance’s My Jio app. Inside the app, under the track your order option, a user will be asked to enter the pre-booking details, to get the details on their JioPhone. (Note: you have to have a Jio-sim to gain the access to the app)
Track via Customer Care- The third way you can trace your JioPhone booking order is by calling Reliance Jio customer care number, 18008908900. The user will receive an SMS regarding final delivery dates of the Jio feature phone.
