iQOO 9 Pro To Launch with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 & 120W flash charge in India

iQOO has been working on its next iQOO 9 series of smartphones for the Indian market. Earlier there were reports that the company will bring the iQOO 8 Series to the Indian market but that could not happen due to chip shortage. Now Smartprix has learned that the iQOO 9 series will debut in India soon with the top variant housing a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 while trimmed line offering a Snapdragon 888. iQOO has partnered with the popular game Battleground Unknown as a marketing exercise.

iQOO 9 Series Expected Price

According to sources, the iQOO 9 will be priced between Rs. 40,000 in India to compete with the OnePlus 9RT and the upcoming Xiaomi 11T Pro. The iQOO 9 Pro will be costlier but still, it will be one of the cheapest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 phones in India.

iQOO 9 series India launch: Everything we know

iQOO9 series will be launched in partnership with BGMI in India and will come with the tagline “Monster Inside”. This indicates that there might be a treat for BGMI fans in India when the device gets launched.

The iQOO 9 Pro India variant will come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset while the iQOO 9 will be driven by a Snapdragon 888 SoC. The chipset in both pro and vanilla variants will be paired with an Intelligent display chip, LPDDR5 RAM, and UFS 3.1 storage along with up to 4GB extended/virtual RAM adaptability.

The smartphone will run Android 12 based FunTouch OS 12 skin out of the box. The iQOO 9 series in India aims to make the gaming experience better as it comes with a Dual X-axis linear motor. It will come with Hi-Res audio (more than 120dB)

The iQOO 9 Pro will come with to feature a 6.78-inch 10-bit AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 1000Hz touch sampling rate. It will also have an under-display fingerprint scanner.

In the camera department, iQOO 9 series is expected to sport a 48MP IMX598 main camera with Gimbal Stabilization support, a 13MP professional portrait lens, and a 13MP ultrawide angle camera.

The Pro smartphone will be powered by a 4700mAh battery with 120W Flash fast charging support. This claims full recharge in 18 minutes.
