Chinese smartphone manufacturer iQOO is gearing up to launch its flagship iQOO 12 series later this year. Ahead of the official announcement, a tipster has revealed the camera specifications of the smartphone, suggesting that it will come with a new, high-resolution zoom lens that supports stabilization and a 50MP OmniVision OV50H primary sensor. Here’s everything you need to know about the iQOO 12’s camera.

iQOO 12 To Get A New Telephoto Camera

Per Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station, the iQOO 12 will feature a 64MP OmniVision 64B telephoto sensor for up to three times lossless zoom. The sensor should also support optical image stabilization. Further, the phone could also have a 50MP OmniVision OV50H sensor for regular images (with optical image stabilization) and a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL GN1 ultra-wide sensor for clicking unique perspectives and larger-than-life landscapes.

Since all the sensors have a higher megapixel count, they should provide enough detail even when zooming in. Along with the new camera sensors, the company might also include the Vivo V3 Image Signal Processor for better results.

iQOO 12 Expected Specifications

Besides the latest details about the camera, almost everything about the iQOO 12 has surfaced online. The smartphone is said to come with a 2K display featuring a 144Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it should run on the unreleased Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Soc. Further, customers could get up to 24GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage with the phone.

Further, the iQOO 12 should feature 100W fast charging. The iQOO 12 Pro, on the other hand, should support up to 200W ultra-fast wired charging. Out of the box, both phones should ship with Origin OS 4.0, based on the Android 14 operating system. Regarding the release date, the company plans to reveal the iQOO 12 series by the end of this year.
