iPhone SE 3 5G is rumored to come up in the first half of 2022. The third-gen iPhone SE is expected to be the most affordable 5G phone from Apple, that can turn a billion Android users into Apple ones. Here’s what we know about iPhone SE 3 till now:
iPhone SE 3 Processor and Storage options
The next-gen iPhone SE 3 is expected to be powered by Apple’s A15 Bionic chipset, the same as the iPhone 13 line-up has. This is because Apple always uses the same processor in the SE variant too as it does in the mainline iPhone phones.
The current SE model comes in 64GB and 128GB storage options and since iPhone 13 range also starts at 128GB, the same could be expected for SE 3 too.
iPhone SE 3 Design
Reports claim that iPhone SE 3 will have the same design as the current iPhone XR. Some CAD-based renders have surfaced online which reveal that iPhone SE 3 will come with rounded corners, slim bezels, and a wide notch to house the Face ID and selfie camera sensor. The renders shared by Xleaks7 show that the iPhone SE 3 will have iPhone XR-like rounded edges. Also visible are the traditional wider notch on the front for the Face ID and other sensors. If this design is accurate, then SE 3 will have the thinnest ever bezels on the SE series to date.
The back panel will have a single rear camera, LED flash, and an Apple logo. As per the renders, it has a glass back which means wireless charging. The power button and SIM tray are on the right whereas the volume rocker and alert slider are on the left edge. The lightning port will be at the bottom. Although only a white-colored variant can be seen in renders, other options are also expected at the launch.
The report says that iPhone SE 3 could have a larger 5.69-inch display and will measure 138.4×67.3×7.3mm. It will be 8.2mm thick and the display will be 131.3×60.2mm. These leaks are by Xleaks7 so we advise you to take them with a pinch of salt.

iPhone SE 3 Camera
There have been no leaks about the camera department of the iPhone SE 3, but since it is expected to have a design like iPhone 8, it will most likely have a single main sensor. Since the current SE model has a single 7 MP front-facing camera, the company might upgrade to a 12MP sensor in it. Night Mode, Cinematic Mode, and Photographic Styles would be good additions as well.
iPhone SE 3 will be 5G ready
One spec that all the reports state alike is the presence of 5G connectivity in the upcoming iPhone SE 3. In June this year, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo also claimed that iPhone SE 3 would see 2 big upgrades- 5G and a better chipset.

Various reports have claimed that Apple plans to launch iPhone SE 3 in the first quarter of 2022, which hints that the company might hold another special event around March next year. The reports seem to hold some weight as Apple launched its iPhone SE too in March 2016 and iPhone SE 2 arrived in April 2020. The iPhone SE 3 could be a huge boost for Apple’s lineup because it is both affordable and supports 5G connectivity.
iPhone SE 3 Current Status
Since iPhone SE 3 is expected to arrive around March next year, the smartphone has reportedly already in its trial production phase right now. An IT home report claims this status as component suppliers of Apple have already started gearing up for the shipment of the iPhone SE 3.
iPhone SE 3 Expected Price
Since this one is deemed to be the most affordable 5G smartphone from the house of Apple, the price could be somewhere around 399 dollars. If the storage option gets beefed up and 5G is added, then it would make the phone even better.
