Intex Technologies has launched Cloud String HD, which offers the convenience of a fingerprint reader at just 5,999 INR. This is the second affordable smartphone from the domestic manufacture to flaunt a Fingerprint reader, the other one being Aqua Secure which was last week itself.

Once a Flagship exclusive feature, the fingerprint sensor is now available across all prices and does add to user experience. With the new API Google added in Android Marshmallow, many apps are taking advantage of biometric unlock at a deeper level as well. Intex Cloud String, however, is still stuck on Android Lollipop. But that shouldn’t be a deal breaker at this price range.

Coming back to the hardware side of things, the Intex Cloud String relies on a 1.3GHz quad core processor paired with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage. Its 8.7 mm thick and houses a 2200 mAh battery. The 5-inch HD display on the front is layered with a 2.5D glass, another unconventional offering for the price.

Other features include 8MP rear camera with Slow motion video recording support, 5MP front camera, 32GB MicroSD card support, Matrabhasha service which enables communication in 21 different languages and an extensive set of pre-loaded apps.

“With Cloud String HD, we are bringing innovation and security at its best. The power-packed performer has features like finger print sensor and VoLTE at an affordable price-point. With this new offering, we are happy to further fortify our partnership with Flipkart to reach our target audience,” stated Mr. Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, Mobile Business Head, Intex Technologies.
