Indian IoT Start-Up Smartron Launched 12.2-inch Windows 10 T.Book At Rs. 39,999

Smartron – an Internet of Things (IoT) Indian Start-up has unveiled their T.book priced at Rs. 39,999. This hybrid 12.2 computing device will go on sale on April 8 and will be exclusively retailing on Gadgets360. It will be made available in Gray and Orange color options.

The company is backed by Indian cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar who is also a brand ambassador for this start-up. Smartron is also scheduled to launch its first ever smartphone t.phone in couple of weeks in Hyderabad which will be available from April 18 onwards.

The hybrid 2-in-1 tablet is powered by Intel core M processor and is running on Microsoft’s Windows 10 operating system (home and Pro). It comes with 4Gigs of Ram and 128GB of internal SSD card along with microSD card to further enhance storage. It has a 12.2-inch WQXGA IPS display which supports multi-touch and wears an oleophobic coating on top. It also sports a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front camera to capture images. The T.Book comes bundled with a keyboard out of the box.

This ultrabook has 37 Whr battery which offers 10 hours of web browsing, as per company claims. It has two full sized USB 3.0 port, one micro HDMI port, a micro SD card slot of 128 GB capacity, a 3.5 mm audio jack, and Type C charging port.

Lingareddy addressing the launch said, “We’re not a restaurant or business place app. We’re not even about devices or announcing a Re 1 phone. We are a company driven by emphasis on design and technology. Even though, we are based in India, we have ambitions to reach out to the world. We missed the PCs and mobile phone revolutions, but we think IoT is where we can establish an Indian company with a global presence.”

“The first innings of my life was on the cricket pitch, and now the second innings is getting into partnerships with entrepreneurs. An Indian company going global is a matter of pride, and i wanted to be a part of it. It would be a dream come true to see Americans carrying this phone. That’s something we aspire to be,” Speaking as an Investor and Brand Ambassador Sachin Tendulkar said at the launch event.
