Huawei has launched its first phone with an elevating front camera, the Y9 Prime, in India. The Huawei Y9 Prime, which was first introduced in China earlier in May, is an affordable phone that integrates the latest trends like triple cameras and full-view display and targets young Indians.  It will retail exclusively on Amazon starting from August 10 for a starting price of Rs. 15,990.

Pre-booking for the phone starts on August 5, and consumers who preorder will get Huawei Sports BT headphones and 15,600mAh power bank, both worth Rs, 4,598 for free.

Huawei Y9 Prime Features: What’s special?

The Huawei Y9 Prime has a full-view 6.59-inch FHD+ display sans any sort of notch, and this has been possible because the front camera is housed in a pop-up assembly. The display type is LTPS LCD and the fingerprint sensor is mounted on the gradient-finish back panel.

The handset is 8.8mm thick and weighs around 197 grams.

Inside, we were really hoping Kirin 810, but the Y9 Prime employs the Kirin 710 paired with 4GB RAM and 128GB of storage.

Apart from the 16MP elevating camera, there are three sensors on the rear – a 16MP primary shooter, an 8MP wide-angle lens, and of course, a 2MP depth sensor.

Other notable features include Bluetooth 5.0, Type-C charging port (USB 2.0), and a 4000mAh battery.
