Huawei Y7 Prime Announced: 5.5-inch Display, Snapdragon 435 SoC, 4,000mAh Battery

A couple of months after introducing it as the Enjoy 7 Plus in its native country, Chinese smartphone maker Huawei has now announced the same smartphone in Hong Kong with the name Y7 Prime.

The phone carries a 5.5-inch display HD display mounted by a 2.5D curved glass, and boots the company’s very own EMUI (version 5.1), which is based on Android Nougat 7.0 OS.

As for the powering source behind the phone, there is an octa-core Snapdragon 435 chipset put in place that has a 3GB RAM and an Adreno 505 GPU playing the supporting roles. The built-in storage capacity is 32GB whereas the expandable limit is 128GB via memory card.

The dual-SIM Y7 Prime has a hybrid SIM slot and sports a metal unibody. The phone has been fitted with a 4,000mAh battery to it buzzing, and a fingerprint scanner finds its spot at the back.

For the optics, we have a 12MP camera replete with features like LED Flash, f/2.2 aperture and 1.25μm pixel size. For selfies and video calling, one can make use of the 8MP camera at the front.

The phone is a mid-range outing by Huawei, and comes in a trio of options (Gold, Silver and Gray). In Hong Kong, the Y7 Prime can be purchased from vmall for a sum of HK$ 1880 (US$ 250 or approximately Rs. 15,520).
