Huawei P20 and P20 Pro To Launch In India On April 24: Confirmed

Huawei P20 and P20 Pro that has been teased on social media more than once, now have a launch date. The phones were globally announced on March 27, and on April 24 they will be introduced in India.

Huawei confirmed the date on the press invite it rolled out with the tagline “See MOOORE”. Even though it has no notable mention of any of the P20 series devices, the launch is quite clearly for the Huawei P20 and P20 Pro.

Huawei P20 Pro and P20 Features

The Huawei P20 Pro is going to be the premium of the two, and it is the first-ever device to sport triple primary camera sensor. The sensors include an 8MP 3X optical lens combined with 40MP Primary RGB Sensor and 20MP Mono sensor.

Other features of the Huawei P20 Pro include 6.1-inch OLED display with a notch, AI-powered Kirin 970 chipset, 6 GB RAM, 128GB onboard storage, 24-megapixel front camera, and rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. The phone comes running on custom EMUI 8.1-based Android Oreo and packs a 4000mAh fast-charging battery.

The Huawei P20, on the other hand, features a 5.8-inch OLED display with a notch, same AI-backed Kirin 970 chipset, 4GB of RAM, 128GB storage, rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, 3400mAh battery, and Android Oreo-based EMUI 8.1 OS.

For photography, the Huawei P20 boasts a dual 12MP+24MP rear camera setup with Leica Summilux-H lenses, 1.55μm pixel size, dual-tone LED flash, and 960fps super slo-mo. While for selfies, it features a 24MP shooter with f/2.0 aperture lens.

Huawei P20 and P20 Pro Price and Availability

The Huawei P20 and P20 Pro are both going to be premium device priced around 50K in India. In the European market, the Huawei P20 is retailing at 649 Euros, and the Huawei P20 Pro for 899 Euros.
