Huawei is pursuing its new found love for dual cameras quite passionately. Recent promo leak confirms that its upcoming Huawei Mate 9 will feature a dual camera setup and its own next generation processing unit.

The leaked teaser highlights both the front and rear surface which suggests that the Mate 9 flaunts a design which is almost identical to its predecessor. The only changes evident from the teaser image is that it has even smaller bezels than Mate 8 which had 78 percent screen-to-body ratio. The phone bears a dual camera setup, dual tone flash, and fingerprint sensor all asymmetrically placed at the back.

It is now confirmed that the Mate 9 will arrive with dual 20-megapixel camera sensors. What’s still unclear is whether the dual camera setup will get Leica lenses similar to Huawei P9 or not. From the image, it is evident that the front camera sits well on the right side of the earpiece along with a sensor (probably proximity).
