Huawei’s online-exclusive sub-brand, Honor, has launched its newest offerings in the company’s native land China. The devices in question: the Honor V9 (which is also its first true flagship) and the Honor V8 Youth Edition (a mid-range phone which was brought out in Finland as Honor 8 Lite not too long ago).
The Honor V9 is the successor to the hugely popular Honor V8 smartphone and is also likely to be showcased in all its glory at the MWC next week.
The V9 features a 5.7-inch QHD display and has a 2.4 GHz Hi-Silicon Kirin 960 octa-core processor (made by the company only) alongside a Mali G71MP8 GPU.

Given Honor’s affinity towards dual-camera toting phones, the V9 has also been given the go-ahead for the same and features two 12MP sensors at the back. The rear camera unit is similar to those that the Honor 8 and the Honor V8 came along with, but seems to have gone a notch further as it is capable of capturing a 3D model of a subject.
On the front, the phone has an 8MP selfie snapper. The phone packs a 4,000mAh battery and runs Android Nougat-based EMUI 5.0 OS out of the box. Furthermore, the Honor V9 is available in a couple of color variants, such as Black, Gold, Blue and Red.
