HTC U12 or U12+ Press Renders Leaked; Show Quad-Cameras and 18:9 Display

HTC’s forthcoming device is going to be its 2018’s flagship phone that is likely to be introduced in early May. There are doubts whether it will be called HTC U12 or U12+, but there isn’t much confusion about the specification of the phone that leaked online last month.

Now, the renders of the HTC U12/U12+ have surfaced revealing the phone in full glory. The credit goes to a Taiwanese screen protector manufacturer who posted live images of the alleged phone on its website.

HTC U12 (U12+) Features [Rumored]

The images clearly showed the HTC U12 with an 18:9 display and dual-cameras both on the front and the back. Talking about its design, the phone has a curved back just like its predecessor HTC U11+ and a fingerprint sensor mounted on the rear panel. The display has thin bezels and Gorilla Glass 5 Protection on top.

Based on the previous leaks, the HTC U12 (U12+) features a 6-inch (2880 x 1440 pixels) Quad HD+ Super LCD display and powered by Octa-core Snapdragon 845 chipset paired with 6GB RAM and up to 128GB storage space.

For photography, the phone is expected to boast a 12MP HTC UltraPixel primary camera combined with a 16MP sensor on the rear. Whereas the dual-sensor on the phone is likely to be a duo of 8MP sensors with Real-time bokeh effect.

The HTC U12 is expected to run on Android Oreo with HTC Sense UI out of the box and aided by 3,420mAh battery. Other specifications of the phone include USB Type-C port, IP 68 water and dust resistant, 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS with GLONASS, and NFC.
