HTC One M7 Gets Lollipop Update

HTC has been making pretty great moves in the smartphone saga of the modern trends. Recently as mentioned in one of our blog posts, HTC is planning to revoke one of its remarkable series, called Butterfly. Yes, we might be very close to witness the rise of HTC Butterfly 3, one of the first few smartphones to contain a quad HD display. An aspect other than making innovative smartphones which is trending worldwide is the race to provide firmware upgrade to the already existing smartphones. While we have known of a lot many smartphones receiving the Android Lollipop update, we have HTC One M7 joining the list now. HTC One M7 features Android JellyBean from the factory end.

HTC One M7 on AT&T carrier in the US has officially started receiving thee Lollipop update. HTC’s Vice President of Product Management, Mo Versi confirmed that the news about the update for One M7 on AT&T carrier is true. He officially confirmed that the Lollipop update for HTC One M7 will start rolling out today to be downloaded by the users.

The new firmware update will bring the now familiar Android Lollipop v5.0 features such as 64-bit ART compiler, Material Design, Project Volta battery saving, Recent Apps, and Quick Settings, among many more features and enhancements. As always with the OTA update, you may have to wait a few days before you are prompted to upgrade, or you can always look for a manual patch in your settings menu.
