After experiencing runaway success with One A9, HTC is quite upbeat about the resurgence of it as one of the market leaders. In the quest to re-establish itself, HTC, with high hopes, launched One X9 on Christmas eve in China.

With this new device, HTC tries to fix all that it missed with what was touted as an iphone 6 lookalike or HTC One A9. HTC has persisted with same A9 design ethos, but the metallic-uni-body design is markedly different.

It gets the missing twin BoomSound Speakers (flanking the display) and Capacitive buttons. However, makers have decided to leave out home button fingerprint scanner in One X9. The biggest drawback of One A9 was its 2150mAh battery which HTC has bumped up to 3000mAh for better talk-time and screen on time.

The One X9 enjoys a bigger 5.5-inch full HD display with an octa-core 64-bit MediaTek’s Helio X10 processor beating under its hood. It comes with 3 gigs of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage that is further expandable up to 2TB via microSD card.
