HTC Desire 828 Dual Offers OIS and Ultrapixel Selfies For 19,990 INR

A few days after lifting curtains from HTC One A9 pricing and availability info, HTC has today revealed the price of HTC Desire 828 Dual in India. HTC wasn’t lying when they hinted at an aggressive pricing. Compared to what we are used to seeing from the Taiwanese manufacturer, HTC Desire 828 Dual has a rather reasonable 19,999 INR price tag, at least on paper.

The handset is perhaps the first one to bring optical Image stabilization for an under 20K price. Besides OIS, the 13MP rear mounted camera module includes LED Flash, BSI sensor and can record full HD videos. HTC’s Ultra-pixel camera, which didn’t work as flagship primary camera, but has hence been shifted to the front and is being used as flagship-selfie-camera, has made the cut for the mid-range desire 828 dual as well.

The gist of the matter is that HTC is trying to leverage its flashy camera hardware at relatively affordable price. Talking of other features and specifications, there is a 5.5 Inch full HD display, 1.5 GHz MediaTek MT6753 octa-core chipset, 2GB RAM and 16GB native storage.

Software is Android 5.1 Lollipop based Sense 6.0 UI. Other features include 2TB MicroSD support, Dual Nano SIM cards, 4G LTE, WiFi, FM Radio, Bluetooth, GPS, GLONASS and 2800 mAh battery. The HTC Desire 828 Dual is 7.9 mm thick and follows familiar HTC Design, but quality of materials used makes it very plastic, which might be the downside for the product.
