HTC Desire 12 Will be an Entry-level Phone With 18:9 Display

HTC Desire 12 is to be company’s first entry-level phone to come with an 18:9 full vision display. The leak came from the reliable source, Evan Blass, who posted images of the phone on Twitter along with its specs and ‘exact’ name of the phone. The phone is most likely to launch at the MWC 2018 event in Barcelona, Spain.

HTC Desire 12 Specifications (Expected)

This is the first time HTC will be making an entry-grade phone with a  full vision panel. of course, HTC’s idea of entry-grade might not necessarily be in line with yours. The Desire 12 is expected to feature a 5.5-inch display coupled with visibly thin bezels on the front. Under the hood, the phone is powered by MediaTek processor mated with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal memory.

HTC U11+ with 18:9 display

For shutterbugs, the HTC Desire 12 has a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP shooter on the front for selfies. The phone is aided by 2730mAh non-removable battery and runs on Android Oreo out of the box.

These are the features we expect to hit the upcoming HTC Desire 12. The phone’s price and availability will be revealed as we move closer to the launch day. As of now, HTC Desire 12 is expected to be an affordable phone that will be priced at Rs. 17k.

HTC U12 in the Making

Meanwhile, HTC also seems to be working on its next flagship phone – the U12. The phone will succeed the HTC U11+ that was just launched in India. If rumors are to be believed then the handset will come with 18:9 display, dual-cameras, and Snapdragon 845 chipset. Moreover, HTC U12 might be world’s first 5G-enabled smartphone.

The leak comes at a time when HTC chiefChialin Chang, resigned from his position. Although the reason cited was “personal career plan”, the decision can be linked to company’s struggling situation.
