Honor, a smartphone e-brand under the Huawei Group would be launching its View 20 smartphone in India on January 29 – a week after its global launch. The company has introduced a few interesting features and top gun specs with the new phone. Read further to know about them as well as the launch date, price and spec details.
Honor View 20 Features
The device would be a beast in terms of raw camera hardware. The back of the phone sports a whopping 48-megapixel camera with a large-Sony IMX586, 1/2-inch CMOS sensor with 0.8-micron pixels. The output would be optimized by the pixel binning technology which combines four pixels into one super pixel. This would be handy for shooting in low-light conditions. The Chinese company also touts the AI capability of the camera which would recognize over 60 categories and 1500 scenarios in real time.
Apart from this, we have a TOF (Time-of-Flight) 3D depth sensor for better bokeh effect in your portrait shots. You might also be able to capture some kickass slo-mo shots at 960fps. The fingerprint sensor is also present at the back.

The facade houses the trendy 4.5mm All-View in-display punch-hole camera. This would add to the uniqueness of this 6.4-inch full-HD+ (1080×2310 pixels) display with 19:5:9 aspect ratio. Furthermore, it would be available in Red, Blue, and Black color options.
Under the hood, the device is powered by the Huawei’s in-house Kirin 980 SoC with eight cores and a peak clock rate of 2.6 GHz, coupled with the 6/8GB RAM would help in the photo computing as well as overall smooth performance. Honor claims that the 7nm mobile AI chipset and dual NPU (Neural Processing Unit) would improve the phone speed power management and AI processing as compared to the 10nm chipset.
All of these processing power would be a treasure for the gamers, while the Nine Cooling Technology, would control overheating. The device would also come with onboard storage of 128GB and 256GB. The handset is fueled by a 4,000mAh battery with quick charging support. When you turn on the screen, you would interact with the Huawei’s EMUI over the outdated Android 8.1 (Oreo).
The phone touts an Advanced GPS (based on AI dual frequency) and a GPU based turbo-gaming feature too. The phone also features a unique Link Turbo feature, which seamlessly connects the device to the best available connectivity option among 4G and WiFi.
Honor View 20 Price and Availability
The Huawei V20 is available for 2999.00 Yuan (~Rs 30,447) for 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, whereas 8/128 GB option is CNY3,499 (~ Rs. 35523) in China.
The device would be internationally launched in Paris on January 22, 2019. In India, the View 20 will be Amazon exclusive. Going by the leaks, there will be a Hobor V20 Maserati Edition as well.
