Honor Play launch in India scheduled for August 6; will retail on Amazon India

Huawei’s Honor Play, that was unveiled in China, last month, will enter Indian markets on August 6. The handset will be up for sale via Amazon India, Honor’s official partner for Honor Play’s distribution. The same has been mentioned in a teaser on Amazon India’s website.

Honor Play features, What to expect

The new Honor Play will sport a 6.3-inch screen with 2340x1080p resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Octa-core Kirin 970 AI processor will lie at the heart of the device. The software running on the phone will be Android 8.1 Oreo OS topped by EMUI 8.1 and a 3,750mAh battery will fuel the device assisted by a fast charger.

The smartphone promises ‘4D’ gaming experience along with real-time recognition and GPU Turbo tech for boosting the performance.

 

The phone will be available in two RAM variants – 4GB and 6GB – coupled with a 64GB expandable memory (up to 256GB microSD card support).

Talking about the optical aspects, the Honor Play carries a dual rear camera setup of  16MP + 2MP sensors with lens aperture of f/2.2 and f/2.4, respectively.

For the front camera, a 16MP selfie snapper with an aperture of f/2.0. The connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and USB Type-C.

Honor Play Price in India (Expected)

Although the price for this soon to release smartphone has not been announced by Honor, the cost of this smartphone can be expected to fall somewhere near Rs 20,000 for the 4GB RAM model and Rs 24,000 for the 6GB variant, taking a clue from its launch price in China.
